A seed opening up. A fungus bridging trees that will never meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What holds this planet together is not the spectacular, but the barely noticeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mangroves, born from seeds the size of a fingernail, keep coastlines from unraveling.<br>Termites aerate the soil just enough for entire forests to breathe.<br>The smallest things keep us all alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;When we\u2019re paying attention, we notice the barely noticeable\u2014and participate in its smallness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our generation carries an overwhelming question:&nbsp;<em>What can we do for this planet?<\/em><br>We say: do the tiny,&nbsp;it becomes heroic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The earth has never \u2014 and will never \u2014 fall in love with grand gestures.It loves what is tiny.
